Few poems in the English language have captured the imagination of readers quite like Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven.” For nearly two hundred years, this tale of loss, grief, and the slow descent into madness has inspired countless interpretations, but none as striking as this fine-press edition.

Poe’s narrator has always been draped in shadow—a grieving man alone at midnight, undone by a bird and a solitary word. This lovely illustrated edition asks questions the poem itself never answers: Who is this narrator and what happened to his love, Lenore?

Angel Bomb is pleased to announce this extraordinary new edition of “The Raven.” Letterpress printed with original three-color illustrations by Todd Thyberg.

This is the deluxe edition, with each book case bound in Japanese book cloth and each featuring a clamshell box covered in complementary Japanese book cloth. The clamshell features a cast resin title emblem embedded in the cover, hand-painted to look like scrimshaw. Each copy is signed and numbered by Todd Thyberg.

Letterpress printed on a 1950s-era Heidelberg Windmill at Angel Bomb.
